Welcome to the IMP training modules.
Access to Training
Access to the IMP training modules is by login only. Each time you enter the site you must login with your username and password, so please keep these safe. If you forget your login details, don’t worry – there is a link for resetting lost passwords on the login screen.
Training Modules
The training modules are viewed as flash presentations. They contain a series of slides with audio commentary, some additional interactive sound files, and video clip examples. You can proceed through these presentations using the navigation arrows which enable you to move forward, or backwards to review slides again. Please note that some presentations may take a while to load, depending on your internet speed, so please be patient.
You may find it necessary to enlarge your browser screen to view the presentations. You can do this by selecting ‘view’ in your browser menu and then clicking ‘zoom’ (Firefox), or by selecting ‘page’ and then clicking ‘zoom’ (Internet Explorer).
Unlocking the Modules
Access to the Forum: Your Questions is already granted, however access to the modules is locked until after login. You must proceed through the modules in order – you cannot skip to module 5 without completing modules 1-4 first. To unlock access to the next module, you will need to answer a short question about the presentation you have just viewed. A link to the password question is provided within the slide presentation. You will only be able to answer this question if you have viewed the entire presentation. This process will occur for each module you view after Module 1 “Background to Development”.
Access to the modules you have unlocked will remain open on subsequent logins, so you may continue your training from the last module you viewed; you do not need to start again from Module 1 each time you login.
It is highly recommended that you complete all training modules, to ensure you fully understand the IMP methods and procedure. This will enable you to collect accurate results when gathering data during parent interviews.

As part of the development of the IMP we are keen to hear your views and your experiences in its application. We invite you to take part in the International Field Trial, “IMPlications for early interventions”.
